The no. 1 way to stay warm in this Chicago arctic

The no. 1 way to stay warm in this Chicago arctic tundra is to eat pasta … right?? If you haven’t been to any of the @giamiapizzabar restaurants you must … they do #glutenfree pizza and pasta and it’s all SO good. Chicago folks, worth a trip to the burbs! We did a wedding weekend dinner at Gia Mia in Geneva and thrilled to be back at another location. 😍

I got the vodka pasta with sausage and the GF penne (hold the crispy prosciutto due to cross contamination) and then we shared Brussels and the ricotta honey toast (with their GF pizza crust).

For my #Celiac fam, they cook the pizza on a separate pan but it is cooked in the same oven. I always double check on the gluten-free pasta and confirm they’ll do it in a fresh pot of water but they are always on top of it!

Any other pasta recos to try next time??

The cozzzziest spot last night and the most delicious #glutenfree fries at my fave wine bar, @websterwinebar, in Logan Square. Do not sleep on the burger. Bunless, but comes with delightful potato crispies and a nice lettuce bed and some great dijonaise and pickles. 💕 Oh and ofc the wine 🍷🥂 an incredibly GF friendly spot! No reservations but you can generally get a seat. ✅

3- @swiftandsons - steakhouse with a GF fryer!
4- @roohchicago - Indian with cool vibes
5- @kaizanchicago - Japanese, sushi, great omakase
6- @websterwinebar - neighborhood wine bar with the besssst GF fries and a dank burger with lettuce bun and lots of salads/apps and amazing wine
7- @daisieschicago - midwestern pasta restaurant with GF pasta and bread that has my whole heart and wallet always 🥹🥹🫶🫶🫶 (bring back the GF sea salt chocolate chip cookies pretty please!)
8- @mitocaya - Mexican with the besssst food and GF chips (but always verify on the fryer)
9- @eatatandros - Greek food with the best allergen awareness
10- @chefsspecialchicago - Chinese food, great cocktails and so many GF options!

Pouring one out for the iconic @splitrailchicago and Funkenhausen (both now closed 🥺). And as always a shoutout to @lettuceentertainyou for being the most accommodating restaurant group (@emarestaurants, @abarestaurant, @beatrixrestaurants, @therealsushisan and newcomer @theoakvillechicago are my current faves!) 🫶🫶
